Trinidad State vs Central Wyoming
RIVERTON, Wyo. (Interstat) — The Trinidad State Trojans and Central Wyoming Rustlers will meet for the second time this month in a men’s junior college basketball game Saturday, just two weeks after the Trojans claimed a 77-67 road victory.
Both teams enter the contest seeking consistency. Trinidad State (3-5) is coming off a high-scoring 102-100 home win over Frank Phillips on Nov. 19. The Trojans were led in that game by Manning Shareef, who scored 17 points with 6 rebounds and 5 assists, and Naz Reaves, who contributed 14 points, 6 rebounds and 5 assists off the bench.
Central Wyoming (1-4) looks to rebound from a 67-52 loss at Utah State Eastern on Nov. 22. Jordan Peel paced the Rustlers with 13 points and 4 assists in the defeat.
The Rustlers’ lone win this season was an 80-64 victory at Colorado Northwestern on Nov. 21. The Trojans have won two of their last three games, with their only loss in that span coming to Casper.
Despite the teams’ combined 4-9 record, Interstat’s game simulator projects a high-octane offensive affair, predicting a 100-100 final score.
Saturday’s rematch tips off at Central Wyoming College.
