CASPER, Wyo. (Interstat) — The Dawson Buccaneers, riding a wave of offensive firepower, will face the Casper Thunderbirds in the Casper Thanksgiving Classic on Friday.

Dawson (5-2) enters the non-conference men’s junior college basketball matchup following a 93-75 home victory over Gillette on Nov. 22. Brandon Hymes led the Buccaneers with 23 points and six rebounds, while Adesoye Onaleye scored a team-high 28 points in just 19 minutes of play. The Buccaneers’ two losses this season came on a road trip to New York against Monroe and Allegany (Md.).

The host Thunderbirds (3-5) snapped a three-game skid with their most impressive win of the season, an 82-77 road victory over Central Arizona on Nov. 22. Nasir Washington powered Casper with a double-double, scoring 32 points and grabbing 11 rebounds. Zaire Richardson added 21 points and five assists in the win.

Friday’s contest pits Dawson’s high-scoring offense against a Casper team seeking consistency. The Buccaneers have scored over 90 points in four of their seven games this season.

The game is scheduled for Friday, Nov. 28, 2025, in Casper.
