Northeastern (Colo.) vs Southern Idaho
TWIN FALLS, Idaho (Interstat) — A stark contrast in early-season fortunes will be on display Friday when the unbeaten Southern Idaho Eagles host the struggling Northeastern (Colo.) Plainsmen in a men’s junior college basketball game.
Southern Idaho enters the contest a perfect 5-0, fresh off a 79-63 road victory over Laramie County last Saturday. The Eagles’ offense has been potent, averaging 77.2 points per game. In their latest win, Jalen Lyn led the way with 26 points and six rebounds, while Ben Thornbrue added 19 points and three blocks.
Northeastern (Colo.), meanwhile, brings a 1-3 record into the matchup. The Plainsmen are looking to build on the momentum from their first victory of the season, a 67-64 win at Eastern Wyoming on Nov. 20. Keziah Williams was the standout performer in that game, posting 23 points and eight rebounds.
The Plainsmen’s three losses have come by an average of 11.3 points, highlighting their need for more consistent production beyond Williams. Southern Idaho’s defense, which has held opponents to an average of 62.8 points, will present a significant challenge.
The game is scheduled for Friday, Nov. 28, 2025. Following this contest, Northeastern will travel to face Colorado Northwestern the next day. Southern Idaho’s next game is at home against Eastern Arizona on Dec. 5.
