Shasta vs Los Angeles Trade Tech

LOS ANGELES (Interstat) — Two California men’s junior college basketball teams seeking their first win of the young season will meet Saturday when the Shasta Knights face the Los Angeles Trade Tech Beavers in the John L. Wagner Classic Tournament.

Both teams enter the contest on losing streaks. The Knights (0-4) are coming off an 84-93 road loss at Alameda on Friday, their fourth consecutive defeat to open the year. The Beavers (0-2) also fell in a close game Friday, dropping a 70-74 decision to Chabot. Their season began with a narrow 84-85 home loss to Alameda on Thursday.

Despite the winless records, the matchup projects to be competitive. According to Interstat’s ELO system, Shasta holds a slight edge with a 52.70 percent probability to win.

The game will be the final tournament contest for both squads before they break from competition. Shasta’s next game isn’t until Nov. 20 against Merritt, while Los Angeles Trade Tech travels to face Chaffey on Nov. 12.

Tip-off is scheduled for Saturday, Nov. 8, 2025, in Los Angeles.
