Eastern Wyoming vs Western Nebraska

SCOTTSBLUFF, Neb. (Interstat) — Two men’s junior college basketball teams seeking to reverse early-season slides will meet Tuesday when the Western Nebraska Cougars host the Eastern Wyoming Lancers at Cougar Palace.

Both teams enter the contest on losing streaks. The Lancers (2-7) have dropped two straight, including a 67-64 home loss to Northeastern (Colo.) last Thursday. The Cougars (1-8) are coming off a 107-78 road defeat to Salt Lake this past Saturday.

The matchup is a quick rematch from Nov. 11, when Western Nebraska edged Eastern Wyoming 81-78. In that game, the Cougars secured their lone victory of the season thus far.

Eastern Wyoming’s offense has shown flashes, scoring 93 points in a win over Miles and 74 in a victory at Colorado Northwestern. Western Nebraska, despite its record, has also demonstrated scoring ability, putting up 95 points in a loss to Butler (Kan.) and 81 in the win over the Lancers.

According to Interstat’s game simulator, this contest is projected to be a high-scoring affair, ending in a 100-100 tie.

The game is scheduled for Tuesday, Nov. 25, 2025.
