VINCENNES, Ind. (Interstat) — The Vincennes Trailblazers, one of the nation’s top junior college men’s basketball teams, will put their undefeated record on the line Tuesday when they host the struggling Pellissippi State Panthers.

Vincennes (7-0) has dominated its competition, winning each game by an average of 30 points. Their most recent victory was a 78-55 rout of Kankakee on Saturday. The Trailblazers’ defense has been stifling, holding opponents to an average of just 60.9 points per game.

They will face a Pellissippi State team (1-5) mired in a five-game losing streak. The Panthers are coming off a 93-89 road loss to Calhoun on Saturday. Their lone victory this season came in overtime, 91-88, at Dyersburg State on Nov. 8.

The game presents a stark contrast in early-season fortunes. The Panthers have struggled defensively, allowing 88 points per game during their current skid. Meanwhile, the Trailblazers have yet to be seriously challenged.

This is the only scheduled meeting between the two teams this season. Following this game, Vincennes is off until a road contest at John A. Logan on Dec. 10. Pellissippi State continues its road swing at Caldwell Tech on Nov. 29.
