MORRISTOWN, Tenn. (Interstat) — An undefeated Walters State squad will look to extend its dominant start to the season when it hosts a struggling Southern Crescent team in the Carlyle Thanksgiving Classic on Tuesday.

The Senators (4-0) have won each of their games by at least 19 points, most recently routing Volunteer State 101-68 on Saturday. They are averaging 97.5 points per game.

They face a Southern Crescent Tigers team (0-3) still searching for its first win. The Tigers are coming off a 106-60 road loss to Daytona State on Nov. 15, where Khaven Coachran scored 22 points and Jordan Edwards added 17. Southern Crescent has lost its games by an average margin of 33 points.

Despite the stark contrast in records and performance, the Interstat game simulator projects a high-scoring tie, with a final score of 100-100.

This is the first of two scheduled meetings between the teams this season. They are set to play again on Dec. 18 in Georgia. Walters State will host Georgia Highlands on Wednesday, while Southern Crescent travels to face Roane State.
