NICEVILLE, Fla. (Interstat) — The undefeated and high-scoring Northwest Florida State Raiders will put their perfect record on the line Tuesday when they host the Wallace State Lions in a men’s junior college basketball matchup at the Pensacola State Thanksgiving Classic.

Northwest Florida State (7-0) has been dominant to start the season, averaging 93.1 points per game. The Raiders are coming off a 101-74 road victory over Southern Union State on Nov. 20. Their closest contest was a 101-99 overtime win at Daytona State on Nov. 14.

Wallace State (3-1) looks to rebound from a lopsided 109-62 home loss to Tallahassee State on Monday. Prior to that defeat, the Lions had won their first three games, averaging 92 points in those victories.

The game presents a stark contrast in momentum. The Raiders have built their record with a potent offense, while the Lions must quickly regroup from a 47-point loss less than 24 hours before tip-off.

Wallace State will continue play in the classic against Pensacola State on Wednesday. Northwest Florida State’s next game is also Wednesday at home against Trinity Valley.
