Oxnard vs Fresno City

FRESNO, Calif. (Interstat) — The Oxnard Condors and Fresno City Rams will look to build early-season momentum when they meet in a men’s junior college basketball matchup Friday at the El Camino Crossover.

Oxnard (1-1) is coming off a narrow 90-89 road victory over Barstow on Saturday. The Condors were led by a standout performance from Carter Reid, who scored 26 points and grabbed 14 rebounds. Jeremy Goodcase added 28 points and six assists in the win.

Fresno City (0-1) seeks its first win after dropping its season opener 95-85 at Sacramento City last Saturday.

The neutral-site game, organized by the California Community College Athletic Association, pits two teams looking to establish consistency. Oxnard opened its season with a one-point loss, 68-67, at Cuyamaca on Oct. 31 before its thrilling win a day later.

The Rams will aim to rebound from their opening loss and even their record before returning home to host Modesto on Nov. 13. Oxnard’s next contest is at Saddleback on Nov. 18.
