SACRAMENTO, Calif. (Interstat) — The American River College Beavers look to get back to .500 when they host the Contra Costa College Comets in a men’s junior college basketball game Thursday.

The neutral-site contest is part of the Tony Costello Tip-Off Classic.

American River (1-1) is coming off a 94-62 road loss to Cabrillo on Sunday. The Beavers opened their season with a 76-59 home victory over Gavilan on Saturday.
