GILROY, Calif. (Interstat) — Two teams seeking their first win of the young season will meet Thursday when the Folsom Lake Falcons visit the Gavilan Rams in a men’s junior college basketball game.

Both teams enter the non-conference matchup with 0-2 records. Folsom Lake is coming off a pair of narrow road losses, falling 67-61 at Napa Valley on Sunday and 64-61 at Mendocino on Saturday. The Falcons have struggled to find offensive traction, averaging 61 points through their first two contests.

Gavilan has also faced a challenging start, dropping its first two games on the road by wider margins. The Rams fell 80-62 at San Joaquin Delta on Sunday after a 76-59 loss at American River on Saturday.

The matchup presents an early opportunity for one program to build momentum. For Folsom Lake, this begins a stretch of four consecutive road games before returning home to host Contra Costa on Nov. 14. Gavilan will look to defend its home court before hitting the road again for a game at Merced on Saturday.
