Alameda vs Los Angeles Trade Tech
LOS ANGELES (Interstat) — The Alameda Cougars and Los Angeles Trade Tech Beavers will tip off their 2025-26 men’s basketball seasons on Thursday, Nov. 6, in an opening-round game of the Chabot Tournament.
Both teams enter the contest with 0-0 records, looking to establish an early identity in non-conference play. The matchup marks the first official action for both junior college programs since their 2024-25 seasons concluded in February.
Alameda last played on March 1, 2025, falling 82-64 on the road to San Jose. The Cougars will look to start this campaign on a better note as the visiting team.
Los Angeles Trade Tech also aims to rebound from a loss in its previous outing, an 84-67 home defeat to Mount San Antonio on Feb. 14, 2025. The Beavers will have the advantage of facing Alameda in a tournament setting on their home court.
The game is part of a packed early-season tournament schedule for both squads. Following Thursday’s contest, Alameda will remain in the tournament to face Shasta on Friday, while Los Angeles Trade Tech is set to host Chabot.
The winner will advance in the winner’s bracket of the California Community College Athletic Association-sanctioned event.
