BRENTWOOD, Calif. (Interstat) — The Los Medanos men’s basketball team looks to build on a dramatic victory when it hosts Siskiyous in a non-conference junior college matchup Thursday at the Tony Costello Tip-Off Classic.

The Mustangs (1-1) are coming off an 81-80 win over Monterey Peninsula on Sunday, a narrow triumph that followed a 106-102 shootout loss to Redwoods the previous day. That high-scoring opening weekend has Los Medanos averaging 91.5 points per game.

Siskiyous opens its 2025-26 season Thursday. The Eagles last took the court in February, falling 69-62 to Shasta to conclude their previous campaign.

Thursday’s game marks the start of a challenging opening stretch for Siskiyous, which will play its first three contests on the road.

The two teams are scheduled to meet again in two weeks on Nov. 20 when Los Medanos travels to Siskiyous.
