BATON ROUGE, La. (Interstat) — An undefeated Angelina College men’s basketball team visits Baton Rouge Community College on Friday in a junior college matchup pitting two teams on opposite trajectories.

The Roadrunners (3-0) are off to a strong start, coming off a 63-54 road victory over Collin County this past Saturday. Their perfect record also includes wins against Western Texas and Hinds.

Conversely, the Baton Rouge Bears (0-4) are still seeking their first win. They are looking to rebound from a 53-63 home loss to Copiah-Lincoln on Monday. Their season has been marked by close calls, including a 70-72 defeat to Holmes on Nov. 13, but also includes lopsided losses to Northwest Florida State and East Mississippi.

Despite the teams’ contrasting records, a statistical projection from Interstat anticipates a tightly contested game, simulating a 100-100 final score.

The Roadrunners will look to maintain their momentum before hosting McLennan on Monday. The Bears, aiming for a season-turnaround, face a quick turnaround with a road game at Bossier Parish on Monday. The two teams are scheduled to meet again at Angelina on Dec. 30.
