ROCK SPRINGS, Wyo. (Interstat) — The Western Wyoming Mustangs, seeking to halt a four-game skid, will host the Williston State Tetons in a men’s junior college basketball game Friday at the Jay Collins Classic.

The Mustangs (1-4) return to action after a 93-68 road loss to Utah State Eastern on Nov. 15, where Paulius Narvilas led the team with 14 points. Western Wyoming’s lone victory this season came against Utah State Eastern on Nov. 1.

Williston State (2-1) enters with momentum from a 97-94 win at Lake Region State on Nov. 2. In that game, Josiah McDonald posted 33 points and 13 rebounds, while Eden Hobbs scored a team-high 35 points.

Despite the disparity in records, Interstat’s game simulator projects a high-scoring 100-100 tie.

The non-conference matchup is the first of two scheduled between the teams this month, with a rematch set for Nov. 28 in Rock Springs.
