Mississippi Gulf Coast vs Coastal Alabama

BAY MINETTE, Ala. (Interstat) — The Mississippi Gulf Coast Bulldogs, riding a three-game winning streak, will visit the struggling Coastal Alabama Sun Chiefs in a men’s junior college basketball game on Friday.

Mississippi Gulf Coast (4-1) is coming off an 85-82 home victory over Bishop State on Thursday. The Bulldogs’ only loss this season was a 72-50 defeat at Pensacola State on Nov. 1.

Coastal Alabama (0-6) is still searching for its first win after a narrow 113-110 loss to Northwest Mississippi on Thursday. The Sun Chiefs have lost their games by an average margin of 18.8 points.

The Bulldogs defeated the Sun Chiefs decisively in their previous meeting this season, winning 104-81 at home on Oct. 31.

Despite the lopsided records and recent head-to-head result, Interstat’s game simulator projects a 100-100 tie for this contest. However, the same service’s ELO rating system gives Mississippi Gulf Coast a 60.80 percent probability of winning.

Following this game, Mississippi Gulf Coast will not play again until hosting Delgado on Dec. 4. Coastal Alabama’s next contest is at Pensacola State on Dec. 4.
