PARIS, Texas (Interstat) — Two early-season NJCAA men’s basketball teams on different trajectories will meet Thursday when the undefeated McLennan Highlanders visit the Paris Dragons.

McLennan (2-0) enters the contest fresh off a nail-biting 67-66 road victory over Kilgore this past Saturday. The Highlanders opened their season with a 77-65 home win against Western Texas on Nov. 12.

Paris (1-1) looks to build momentum after securing its first win, a 74-72 road result against Grayson on Friday. The Dragons dropped their season opener at home to Southwestern Christian, 72-64, on Nov. 1.

The game will be the final outing for both teams before a quick turnaround. McLennan travels to face Angelina on Monday, while Paris hosts Grayson that same night.
