NAPA, Calif. (Interstat) — The Folsom Lake Falcons and Mendocino Eagles will open their men’s junior college basketball seasons Saturday at the Napa Classic Tournament, with both teams looking to reverse the results of their final games from the previous season.

The non-conference matchup, organized by the California Community College Athletic Association, pits the Falcons against the Eagles in a 2025-26 season opener for both programs.

Folsom Lake enters the game looking to move past a season-ending 80-74 home loss to San Joaquin Delta on Feb. 21, 2025. The Falcons finished the 2024-25 season with a 12-15 overall record.

Mendocino concluded its previous campaign with an 86-68 road loss to Cosumnes River on Feb. 26, 2025. The Eagles posted a 9-19 overall record last season.

The tournament opener will be the first of a challenging early-season slate for both teams. Folsom Lake’s immediate schedule includes a game against host Napa Valley on Sunday, while Mendocino returns home to face Redwoods on Sunday.

Tipoff is scheduled for Saturday, Nov. 1, 2025.
