Victor Valley vs Santa Monica

SANTA MONICA, Calif. (Interstat) — The Victor Valley Rams and Santa Monica Corsairs will open their men’s junior college basketball seasons against each other Saturday.

The non-conference matchup, organized by the California Community College Athletic Association, pits two teams looking for a fresh start. Both squads enter the game 0-0.

Victor Valley last took the court in February, closing its previous campaign with a 97-84 home victory over Mount San Jacinto. The Rams will look to carry that offensive momentum into their 2025-26 opener.

Santa Monica also last played in February, falling 90-70 at home to Southwestern. The Corsairs will aim to begin the new season on a stronger note in front of their home crowd.

The game will be the first of a challenging early-season slate for both programs. Following the opener, Victor Valley will host Palomar on Nov. 4. Santa Monica’s next contest is at home against Compton on Nov. 7.

Tip-off is set for Saturday, Nov. 1, 2025, at Santa Monica College.
