SACRAMENTO, Calif. (Interstat) — The Fresno City Rams and Sacramento City Panthers will tip off their new seasons against each other in a highly anticipated intrastate men’s junior college basketball showdown on Saturday, Nov. 1, 2025.

The neutral-site contest is part of the Sac City Tipoff Classic. Both teams enter the new campaign looking to rebound from season-ending losses in February. The Rams concluded their previous schedule with an 88-62 defeat at San Francisco, while the Panthers fell 86-75 at home to Sierra.

With both teams holding identical 0-0 records, the opener presents a clean slate. The matchup is projected to be an offensive shootout, with the Interstat game simulator forecasting a 100-100 tie.

The game will serve as the first of a challenging non-conference slate for both squads. Fresno City will embark on a busy November with games against El Camino, Oxnard, Modesto and West Valley following the opener. Sacramento City’s upcoming schedule includes road tests at Solano and Gavilan later in the month.
