Fullerton vs Sequoias
VISALIA, Calif. (Interstat) — The Fullerton Hornets and the Sequoias Giants will open their new men’s basketball seasons on Saturday, each looking to move past the sting of a season-ending loss from last March.
The California community college matchup in Visalia will be the first official game for both teams in the 2025-26 campaign. Both programs finished the previous season with narrow defeats in their final outings.
Fullerton concluded its 2024-25 season with a 75-58 home loss to San Francisco on March 16. Sequoias’ last game was a 66-65 home defeat against Cosumnes River on March 1.
The Hornets will begin their season with a three-game homestand after this contest, facing West Valley on Nov. 6 and Yuba on Nov. 7.
The Giants, meanwhile, will embark on an extended road trip following Saturday’s opener. Their next home game isn’t until Dec. 19 when they host Orange Coast. Their upcoming schedule includes a road game at Allan Hancock on Nov. 7 and a rematch at Cosumnes River on Nov. 15.
Tipoff is set for Saturday at College of the Sequoias.
