CUPERTINO, Calif. (Interstat) — The Solano Falcons and De Anza Mountain Lions will tip off their new seasons against each other in a California men’s junior college basketball matchup on Saturday.

Both teams enter the contest with 0-0 records, looking to start the 2025-26 campaign on a high note. The game will be the season opener for both programs.

The Falcons last took the court in a high-scoring 111-107 victory over Marin on Feb. 20, 2025, to conclude their previous season. The Mountain Lions, meanwhile, ended their last campaign with a 94-81 road loss to Ohlone on Feb. 21, 2025.

Saturday’s game will be the first of a challenging slate for both squads. Solano’s upcoming schedule features a home game against Ohlone on Nov. 7, while De Anza will prepare to host Cuesta on Nov. 4 before a road game at Marin on Nov. 8.

The Falcons, as the visiting team, will look to carry the momentum from their previous season-ending win into the new year against a De Anza team seeking a fresh start on its home court.
