FREMONT, Calif. (Interstat) — The Orange Coast College Pirates and Ohlone College Renegades will open their men’s basketball seasons Saturday in a non-conference matchup on Day 2 of the Ohlone Tournament.

Both teams enter the contest with 0-0 records. The game marks the official start of the 2025-26 campaign for the California community college programs.

The Renegades are considered the favorites according to the Interstat ELO system, which projects Ohlone with a 62.1% probability of victory.

The teams last took the court in February, concluding their previous seasons. Orange Coast fell to Riverside 84-70 on Feb. 21, 2025. Ohlone, meanwhile, earned a 94-81 home victory over De Anza on the same date.

Following this tournament game, Orange Coast will travel to face Citrus on Nov. 4. Ohlone’s next contest is on the road against Solano on Nov. 7.

Tipoff is scheduled for Saturday, Nov. 1, 2025, at Ohlone College.
