SAN MATEO, Calif. (Interstat) — The Shasta Knights and San Mateo Bulldogs will tip off their 2025-26 men’s basketball seasons against each other on Saturday, Nov. 1, as part of the Ohlone College Tournament.

Both junior college teams enter the contest with 0-0 records, looking to establish an early identity. The game is scheduled for the second day of the two-day tournament, which runs Friday and Saturday.

The Knights last took the court in a narrow 79-77 home loss to Sierra on Feb. 26, 2025. The Bulldogs concluded their previous campaign with an 84-63 road loss to Chabot on Feb. 14, 2025.

Saturday’s matchup will serve as the season opener for both programs. For Shasta, it begins a challenging three-game road trip that continues at Chabot on Nov. 6 and Alameda on Nov. 7. San Mateo will hit the road for its next contest, facing Santa Rosa on Nov. 7.

The game is set for a neutral court at the Ohlone College Tournament.
