FREMONT, Calif. (Interstat) — The Shasta Knights and Ohlone Renegades will open their new seasons Friday when they meet in a men’s junior college basketball game at the Ohlone College Tournament.

The non-conference matchup on Oct. 31, 2025, pits two programs looking for a fresh start. Both teams enter with 0-0 records.

Ohlone will take the court for the first time since a strong offensive performance in its previous outing, a 94-81 victory over De Anza on Feb. 21, 2025. The Renegades will look to carry that momentum into their home tournament.

Shasta, meanwhile, aims to bounce back from a narrow 79-77 loss to Sierra in its last game on Feb. 26, 2025. The Knights begin a challenging early-season stretch, playing five games in the first nine days of November.

The tournament opener serves as a standalone contest for both teams before they continue their schedules Saturday. Shasta will travel to face San Mateo, while Ohlone remains at home to host Orange Coast.
