EL CAMINO, Calif. (Interstat) — The El Camino Warriors and Santa Barbara Vaqueros will open their men’s junior college basketball seasons Friday night in a non-conference matchup.

Both teams enter the Halloween contest with 0-0 records. Their last official games were lopsided road losses on Feb. 21, 2025, to conclude their previous seasons. Santa Barbara fell 82-72 at Cuesta, while El Camino lost 99-82 at Compton.

Despite the teams’ identical blank slates, the Interstat game simulator projects a high-scoring affair with a decisive 120-100 victory for the visiting Vaqueros.

The game is the first of a challenging early-season schedule for both squads. Santa Barbara embarks on a three-game road trip following this contest, facing Los Angeles City and Antelope Valley next week. El Camino will remain at home for its next four games, hosting Fresno City and Coalinga.

Tip-off is set for Friday, Oct. 31, at El Camino College.
