Northeastern Oklahoma A&M vs Coffeyville

COFFEYVILLE, Kan. (Interstat) — The Coffeyville Ravens remained undefeated Saturday night, using a potent offensive performance to defeat the Northeastern Oklahoma A&M Golden Norsemen 74-64 in a men’s junior college basketball game.

The Ravens improved to 3-0 on the season, while the Golden Norsemen fell to 1-4.

Coffeyville established control early, outscoring Northeastern Oklahoma A&M 39-34 in a high-scoring first quarter. The Ravens maintained their advantage after halftime, adding 35 points in the second quarter to hold off the Golden Norsemen, who scored 30 in the final period.

Tyson Tucker led the Ravens’ scoring effort with 17 points. Jack Sorrell provided a significant spark off the bench, contributing 12 points. The Coffeyville frontcourt was dominant on the glass, with Jeremiah Ibeziako and Daniel Ntambwe each pulling down nine rebounds. Konstantin Popovic facilitated the offense effectively, dishing out a team-high six assists.

For the Golden Norsemen, Keyne Costa delivered a strong all-around performance, finishing just shy of a triple-double with 16 points, nine rebounds and four assists. Jaylin Faison provided a scoring lift off the bench with 13 points.

The game featured a sloppy start with turnovers and missed shots from both sides before Coffeyville’s Rashid Kuta scored the first points on a layup. The Ravens then seized momentum with a flurry of three-pointers from Tucker and Popovic, building a lead they would not relinquish. Northeastern Oklahoma A&M kept the game competitive behind the efforts of Costa, who was active on the offensive glass, but could never close the gap completely.

Coffeyville’s next game is at home against Butler on Wednesday. Northeastern Oklahoma A&M travels to face Wabash Valley on Nov. 27.
