HOBBS, N.M. (Interstat) — The undefeated Seward County Saints (4-0) will face the New Mexico Military Institute Broncos (2-3) in a men’s junior college basketball game Friday at the NMJC Classic.

The Saints are coming off an 81-68 home victory over Frank Phillips on Tuesday. RJ McKinnie led the way with 13 points and five rebounds, while Brooks Powers added nine points. Seward County’s perfect start includes two wins over Trinidad State and a road victory at Otero.

New Mexico Military enters the contest looking to build momentum after a hard-fought, 83-74 overtime win against Otero on Saturday. Joel Pinto was dominant in that victory, scoring 25 points and blocking three shots. The Broncos have experienced a series of close games, with two of their three losses coming in overtime.

The matchup pits Seward County’s high-powered offense against a Broncos squad tested by a difficult early schedule. Following this game, Seward County will face New Mexico on Saturday, while the Broncos will host Otero in a rematch.
