THATCHER, Ariz. (Interstat) — The Cochise College Apaches, off to a dominant 2-0 start, will look to continue their winning ways when they host the struggling Laramie County Golden Eagles in a men’s junior college basketball game Friday.

The game, part of the Eastern Arizona Tournament, pits an Apache squad that has won its first two games by an average of 45.5 points against a Golden Eagles team searching for its first victory after an 0-2 start.

Cochise (2-0) is coming off a 95-71 victory over Community Christian on Nov. 1, powered by strong performances from Davon Jones (21 points) and Teron Murray (26 points). Laramie County (0-2) is looking to rebound from a 98-80 road loss to McCook on the same date.

Despite the teams’ contrasting early-season results, a projection from Interstat’s game simulator anticipates a tightly contested matchup, forecasting a 100-100 final score.
