ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (Interstat) — The New Mexico men’s junior college basketball team cruised to a 94-55 victory over Pratt on Sunday, improving its season record to 2-0. The Thunderbirds established a commanding lead by halftime, outscoring the Beavers 50-25 in the first quarter. Xavier Perry led New Mexico with 18 points in just 14 minutes of play. Hunter Vaughn scored a game-high 16 points for Pratt, which fell to 0-2. Muna Godswill grabbed 10 rebounds for the Beavers in the loss.
