HUTCHINSON, Kan. (Interstat) — The winless Lamar Community College Runnin’ Lopes will face a tough test Saturday against the undefeated Hutchinson Community College Blue Dragons in a men’s junior college basketball game at the Hutch Invitational.

Lamar (0-2) is coming off a high-scoring 92-87 road loss to Dodge City on Friday. Despite the defeat, the Runnin’ Lopes saw strong offensive performances from RJ Foreman, who posted a double-double with 19 points and 11 rebounds, and Ahmed Cisse, who scored 21 points. Jaylon Brown added 19 points in the narrow loss.

They will face a Hutchinson (2-0) team that has opened its season with decisive victories. The Blue Dragons routed Northeastern Oklahoma A&M 94-64 in their last outing on Nov. 1, following a 78-71 road win against State Fair.

The matchup pits Lamar’s potent but struggling offense against a Hutchinson squad that has shown early dominance. The Runnin’ Lopes will look for their first win of the season, while the Blue Dragons aim to protect their perfect record on their home court.
