ROBINSON, Ill. (Interstat) — The Lincoln Trail Statesmen will look to bounce back from a season-opening loss when they host the Olive-Harvey Panthers in a men’s junior college basketball game Saturday at the Lake Land Classic.

Lincoln Trail (0-1) is coming off a narrow 89-86 road defeat against Volunteer State last Saturday. The Statesmen’s offense showed potency in their first two outings, averaging 84 points, including a 82-73 victory over Columbia State on Oct. 31.

Olive-Harvey will be playing its first game of the 2025-26 season. The Panthers’ most recent result was a 80-71 loss at Kankakee on Feb. 27, 2020, from a previous season.

The matchup pits Lincoln Trail’s early-season offensive rhythm against an Olive-Harvey squad that is debuting its new team. The game is part of a multi-team event, with Olive-Harvey scheduled to face Lake Land on Sunday, while Lincoln Trail travels to face Richard J Daley.

Following this contest, the Panthers will host Southeastern and Sauk Valley next weekend. The Statesmen’s next game is at Indian Hills on Nov. 25.
