CONCORDIA, Kan. (Interstat) — The Cloud County Thunderbirds look to build on their first win of the season when they host the struggling Missouri State-West Plains Grizzlies in a men’s junior college basketball game on Saturday.

Cloud County (1-1) evened its record with an 81-66 home victory over State Fair on Friday night. The Thunderbirds opened their season with an 80-94 road loss to Indian Hills on Nov. 1.

Missouri State-West Plains (0-2) is searching for its first win after dropping a pair of high-scoring contests. The Grizzlies fell 96-93 at Seminole State (Okla.) on Monday before returning home to lose 94-78 to Northern Oklahoma-Enid on Tuesday.

According to Interstat’s ELO system, Cloud County enters the contest as a significant favorite with a 70 percent probability to win.

Following Saturday’s game, Cloud County’s next contest is at home against North Platte on Nov. 15. Missouri State-West Plains returns home to face Butler (Kan.) on Monday.
