Brunswick vs Daytona State
DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. (Interstat) — The high-flying Daytona State Falcons will look to extend their undefeated start to the season when they host the Brunswick Dolphins in a men’s junior college basketball game on Saturday.
Daytona State (2-0) has opened its season with a pair of dominant, high-scoring victories. The Falcons are coming off a 115-72 rout of USC Salkehatchie last Saturday, following a 119-82 win over Wake Tech the previous afternoon. Their offense has averaged 117 points through two games.
Brunswick enters the contest seeking its first win, though its 0-0 official record reflects a schedule that has yet to begin. The Dolphins’ most recent competition was an 84-78 exhibition loss to USC Salkehatchie in March 2024. Key contributors from that game included Adrian Shackleton (15 points), Tyrese Lacey (13 points, 8 assists) and Trey Wilson (12 points, 9 rebounds).
According to Interstat’s ELO system, the Falcons are projected as heavy favorites with a 73.40 percent probability to win.
The matchup begins a challenging stretch for both teams. Following Saturday’s game, Daytona State’s next contest is at home against Northwest Florida State on Nov. 14. Brunswick opens its regular season slate at home against East Georgia State on Nov. 16.
