HICKORY, N.C. (Interstat) — The Caldwell Tech Cobras will seek revenge and their first win of the young season when they host the Roane State Raiders in a men’s junior college basketball matchup on Friday, Nov. 7, 2025.

The game is a quick rematch of their season opener just six days prior, where the visiting Cobras fell to the Raiders 80-72. Roane State (1-0) enters the contest with momentum from that victory, while Caldwell Tech (0-1) looks to even its record and avenge the recent loss on its home court.

The Raiders’ offense proved effective in the first meeting, and they will aim to replicate that performance on the road. Caldwell Tech’s defense will be the primary focus as it looks for adjustments to slow down the Roane State attack.

Following this game, Roane State begins a busy stretch, hosting Gaston on Saturday. Caldwell Tech has a lengthier break before its next contest, a road game at Cleveland State on Wednesday, Nov. 12.

Friday’s tipoff will test if home-court advantage can provide the spark the Cobras need to flip the script from their opening-night result.
