GLENDIVE, Mont. (Interstat) — The Dawson men’s basketball team looks to continue its high-scoring start to the season when it hosts Northwest College in a junior college matchup on Thursday, Nov. 6, 2025.

The Buccaneers (2-0) are averaging 116.5 points per game after decisive road wins over Miles Community College (115-75) and a 118-90 victory against Lake Region State. They return home to Glendive riding a wave of offensive momentum.

Northwest (0-0) opens its 2025-26 season on the road. The Trappers’ last official contest was a 103-96 loss at Laramie County in February 2024, making this their first game in nearly 21 months. Key returners for the Trappers include Zakai Owens, who nearly posted a double-double in that final game, and high-scoring guard Kai Guess.

The game serves as a non-conference tune-up for both teams ahead of challenging schedules. Northwest travels to face Miles on Friday, while Dawson hosts Eastern Wyoming. The two teams are scheduled to meet again in Powell, Wyoming, on Dec. 12.
