Collin County vs Eastern Oklahoma State
WILBURTON, Okla. (Interstat) — The Eastern Oklahoma State College Mountaineers will host the Collin County Cougars in a men’s junior college basketball season opener for both teams on Thursday, Nov. 6, 2025.
The game marks the first official action for both squads since their 2023-24 campaigns concluded last March. Collin County finished its previous season on a high note, defeating Temple 77-69 at home on March 6, 2024. Eastern Oklahoma State, meanwhile, fell 82-73 on the road against Connors State in its final game on March 15, 2024.
This early-season contest will be the first of a home-and-home series between the teams. They are scheduled to meet again at Collin County on Tuesday, Dec. 9, 2025.
The matchup offers a first look at two teams looking to establish momentum. For Collin County, the game begins a challenging early slate that includes a back-to-back against Lamar State-Port Arthur and Angelina on Nov. 14-15, followed by a two-game road trip to Oklahoma to face Murray State and Seminole State.
Eastern Oklahoma State will follow its opener with a road game at Grayson on Nov. 12 before a longer break until its next contest on Dec. 4. The Mountaineers’ schedule is heavily weighted with conference play beginning in January.
