SCOOBA, Miss. (Interstat) — The East Mississippi Lions, off to a perfect 2-0 start, will host the struggling South Georgia Tech Jets in a men’s junior college basketball matchup on Thursday, Nov. 6, 2025, as part of the Bonner Arnold Classic.

East Mississippi is riding high after a dominant 90-66 road victory over Southern Union State last Saturday. The Lions opened their season with a 79-46 rout of Baton Rouge.

South Georgia Tech (1-2) looks to snap a two-game skid after falling 71-56 at home to Tallahassee State on Wednesday. The Jets’ lone win came in overtime, 78-76, at Chipola on Oct. 31, before a subsequent 88-81 loss at Tallahassee State.

The Jets will rely on the production of Ace McKinnie, who posted 26 points and 13 rebounds in the loss to Tallahassee State. Maurice Henderson added 11 rebounds and Diovion Famakinde contributed 12 points and five assists.

Following this contest, South Georgia Tech travels to face Northeast Mississippi on Friday. East Mississippi’s next game is at home against Holmes on Monday.
