Tallahassee State vs South Georgia Tech

AMERICUS, Ga. (Interstat) — The Tallahassee State Eagles and South Georgia Tech Jets will meet for the second time in five days on Wednesday in a men’s junior college basketball matchup.

The Eagles (1-0) look to continue their strong start after defeating the Jets 88-81 on their home court this past Saturday. South Georgia Tech (1-1) seeks to even the season series and rebound from that loss, which followed a season-opening 78-76 overtime win at Chipola.

In the first meeting, Tallahassee State’s offense was powered by a trio of players. Marcellus Myles scored 19 points, Dwight Brown added 12 points and five rebounds, and Jalexs Ewing contributed 14 points. The Jets will aim for a better defensive performance on their home floor to contain that production.

The game at South Georgia Tech’s arena tips off a busy stretch for both teams. The Jets embark on a two-game road trip to Mississippi immediately following this contest. The Eagles will return home to host Central Georgia on Saturday.

Wednesday’s rematch is scheduled for a 7:30 p.m. ET start.
