Lake Land vs Triton

LAKE LAND, Ill. (Interstat) — The Lake Land Lakers and Triton Trojans will open their 2025-26 men’s junior college basketball seasons against each other on Tuesday, Nov. 4.

Both teams enter the contest at 0-0, looking to establish an early identity after concluding their previous seasons with losses in March 2024. The Lakers fell 91-64 at John A. Logan in their most recent outing, while the Trojans dropped an 88-73 decision at Barton.

The season-opening matchup in River Grove will be the first of a challenging early schedule for both squads. For Lake Land, the game against Triton begins a three-game stretch in six days, with home contests against Richard J Daley and Olive-Harvey to follow on Nov. 8 and Nov. 9, respectively.

Triton will also face a quick turnaround, hosting Mineral Area on Nov. 7 and Three Rivers on Nov. 8 following the opener against the Lakers. The Trojans will then hit the road for a game at Richard J Daley on Nov. 11.

Tip-off is set for 7 p.m. at the Triton College Gymnasium.
