ATHENS, Texas (Interstat) — The Trinity Valley Community College Cardinals will host the Weatherford College Coyotes on Saturday, Nov. 1, 2025, in a men’s junior college basketball season opener for both teams.

The game will be held on NJCAA Championship Banner Day at Trinity Valley’s Cardinal Gym. Both teams enter the contest with 0-0 records.

The matchup marks the first official action for both programs since their 2023-24 seasons ended in March. Weatherford concluded its previous campaign with a 58-50 home loss to Odessa on March 14, 2024. Trinity Valley last played on March 25, 2024, falling 105-87 on the road to Triton.

The game serves as the starting point for a challenging early-season schedule for both squads. Weatherford will immediately turn its focus to a home game against Midland on Tuesday, Nov. 4. The Coyotes will play seven of their next 10 games at home.

Trinity Valley, meanwhile, embarks on a road-heavy start to its season. Following the opener against Weatherford, the Cardinals’ next three games are away from home, beginning with a trip to face Grayson on Saturday, Nov. 8. Six of their next 10 contests are on the road.

Tipoff is scheduled for Saturday afternoon.
