VINCENNES, Ind. (Interstat) — The Vincennes Trailblazers and Columbia State Chargers will open their 2025-26 men’s junior college basketball seasons against each other in the Kiwanis Classic on Saturday, Nov. 1.

Both teams enter the contest with 0-0 records, looking to start anew after their 2023-24 campaigns ended in narrow postseason defeats.

Columbia State last took the court on March 11, 2024, falling 76-59 to Walters State. Vincennes’ most recent game was a 58-56 loss to Odessa on March 26, 2024.

The early-season matchup offers a first look at both squads before they embark on their respective conference schedules. The game also serves as a preview of a future meeting, as the two teams are scheduled to play again on Jan. 3, 2026, in Columbia.

Following the opener, Vincennes will host Kennedy-King on Nov. 7. Columbia State’s next game is at home against Motlow State on Nov. 8.
