NORTH PLATTE, Neb. (Interstat) — The North Platte Knights and Eastern Wyoming Lancers will open their men’s junior college basketball seasons on Saturday, Nov. 1, 2025, at North Platte Community College.

Both teams enter the contest with 0-0 records, looking to establish an early identity. For Eastern Wyoming, the game marks a return to competition after a significant hiatus; the Lancers have not played a game since a 102-62 loss at Salt Lake on Nov. 12, 2021.

North Platte is coming off a more recent, but equally tough, result — an 87-91 overtime road loss to Otero on March 9, 2024.

The season opener for both squads will be the first of a home-and-home series, with the Knights scheduled to visit the Lancers on Saturday, Dec. 6, 2025.

Following the opener, Eastern Wyoming embarks on a two-game road trip, visiting Miles on Nov. 6 and Dawson on Nov. 7. North Platte will also face a busy early schedule, with road games at Frank Phillips on Nov. 4 and Garden City on Nov. 5 before returning home to host Fort Hays Tech on Nov. 8.
