DIXON, Ill. (Interstat) — The Richard J. Daley Bulldogs and the Sauk Valley Skyhawks will open their 2025-26 men’s junior college basketball seasons on Saturday, Nov. 1, renewing a rivalry from their last meeting.

The non-conference matchup at Sauk Valley Community College pits two teams looking to start fresh after concluding the previous season with losses.

In their most recent head-to-head contest on March 5, 2024, the Skyhawks edged the Bulldogs 62-56 on their home court. Sauk Valley last played on March 7, 2024, falling 72-68 on the road against Highland (Ill.).

Both teams enter the season opener with 0-0 records.

For the Bulldogs, the game marks the first of a challenging early schedule that includes a back-to-back set next weekend at home against Lincoln Trail and Triton. The Skyhawks will follow their opener with a home game against Three Rivers on Nov. 7 before a road trip to Moberly Area.

Tipoff is set for Saturday at Sauk Valley Community College.
