HARRIMAN, Tenn. (Interstat) — The Roane State Raiders will host the Caldwell Tech Cobras on Saturday, Nov. 1, 2025, in the season opener for both men’s junior college basketball teams.

The game marks the first official action for both programs since their 2023-24 campaigns ended in March. Caldwell Tech concluded its previous season with a 69-58 home loss to USC Salkehatchie on March 16, 2024. Roane State’s last outing was a 99-63 home defeat to Southwest Tennessee on March 9, 2024.

This early-season contest will be the first of a home-and-home series between the two teams, who are scheduled to meet again at Caldwell Tech just six days later on Friday, Nov. 7.

Both squads will look to new personnel and a fresh start after posting 0-0 records in the nascent 2025-26 season. The matchup offers an immediate test and an early opportunity to build momentum.

For Roane State, the game begins a challenging opening stretch that includes a matchup with Walters State on Nov. 12. Caldwell Tech’s early schedule features a road game at Cleveland State on Nov. 12 and a rematch of their season-ending loss when USC Salkehatchie visits on Jan. 7, 2026.

Tipoff is set for Saturday at Roane State’s home court.
