ATLANTA (Interstat) — The Southern Crescent Tigers will look to bounce back from a season-opening loss when they host the Cleveland State Cougars in a men’s junior college basketball game on Saturday.

Southern Crescent (0-1) is coming off an 83-61 defeat to Cape Fear on Friday. Cleveland State (0-0) will be playing its first game of the season. The Cougars’ last official contest was a 101-58 loss to Chattanooga State on March 9, 2024.

According to Interstat’s ELO system, the Tigers enter as the projected favorite with a 64% probability to win.

This game is the first of four straight at home for Southern Crescent, who will next host Hillsborough on Nov. 14. Cleveland State begins its season with a brief road trip before hosting Gaston on Tuesday.
