TWIN FALLS, Idaho (Interstat) — The Southern Idaho Eagles will open their 2025-26 men’s junior college basketball season at home on Friday, Oct. 31, against the Yavapai Roughriders.

Both teams enter the Halloween night contest with 0-0 records. It marks the first official game for each squad after preseason exhibitions.

The Eagles last took the court in a competitive game on March 9, 2024, falling 87-65 to Salt Lake in the previous season’s postseason. This matchup will be the first look at a new-look Southern Idaho team.

For Yavapai, this game represents a clean slate and the start of a challenging early-season schedule. The Roughriders will face Colorado Northwestern at home the following night on Nov. 1.

The non-conference matchup is the first of a home-and-home series between the programs this season. They are scheduled to meet again in Prescott, Arizona, on Friday, Dec. 12.

Tip-off is set for 7 p.m. local time at the CSI Gymnasium.
