DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. (Interstat) — The Wake Tech Eagles and Daytona State Falcons will tip off their new seasons against each other in a men’s junior college basketball showdown at the Daytona State Classic on Friday, Oct. 31, 2025.

Both teams enter the contest with 0-0 records, looking to start fresh after their 2023-24 campaigns ended in narrow postseason defeats. Wake Tech fell 81-72 at Richard Bland on March 14, 2024, while Daytona State dropped an 85-82 decision to Walters State at home on March 24, 2024.

The Halloween matchup is the first of a home-and-home series for the Eagles and Falcons, who are scheduled to meet again at Wake Tech just one week later on Nov. 7.

The game will be the season opener for both squads. Wake Tech’s next contest is at home against Polk State on Nov. 1. Daytona State will also play at home on Nov. 1, facing USC Salkehatchie.
