VINCENNES, Ind. (Interstat) — The Vincennes Trailblazers dominated the Volunteer State Pioneers 93-57 in a men’s junior college basketball game Friday. Alex Montes led the way for Vincennes with a game-high 23 points and six rebounds. Dayton Williams added 17 points and nine rebounds for the Trailblazers, who opened their season 1-0. Volunteer State, which began its season 0-1, was led by a 30-point first quarter but could not sustain the momentum. The Trailblazers shot efficiently from the floor to secure the victory, which was in line with pregame statistical projections favoring Vincennes.
