Trinidad State vs Garden City

GARDEN CITY, Kan. (Interstat) — The Garden City Broncbusters and Trinidad State Trojans will open their 2025-26 men’s junior college basketball seasons against each other on Friday, Oct. 31.

Both teams enter the contest at 0-0, looking to establish an early identity. The matchup marks the first official game for both programs since their exits from the NJCAA Region VI tournament last March.

The Trojans will be seeking a fresh start after a difficult end to their previous campaign, a 81-52 road loss to Odessa on March 24, 2024. They face a quick turnaround, traveling to face Seward County the following night.

Garden City’s last outing was a narrow 88-87 overtime defeat at the hands of rival Hutchinson on March 12, 2024. The Broncbusters will look to channel the momentum from that competitive performance into a season-opening win before hitting the road to face Otero on Saturday.

The game will serve as the first of a challenging 10-game stretch for each squad to open the season. For Trinidad State, it begins a string of four road games in their first five contests.

Tipoff is set for Friday night at Conestoga Arena.
